About the Speakers

Signe Krogstrup

Signe Krogstrup is Governor at Danmarks Nationalbank. She holds an MSc econ. from University of Copenhagen and a PhD in international economics from The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Switzerland.

Signe has extensive experience in economic research and monetary policy. Prior to joining Danmarks Nationalbank in June 2019, she held an advisor position and was member of senior management in the Research Management of The International Monetary Fund, IMF.

From 2007 to 2016, Signe worked at The Swiss National Bank.

Louise Mogensen

Louise Mogensen joined the Danish FSA as Director General in September 2023. From 2016 to 2023 she was the CEO of Forenet Kredit, a mortgage credit association. 

Previously, Louise Mogensen has among others held positions as Deputy Chief Executive of the Danish Bankers Association, Head of Division in the Ministry of Business and Growth, and for 12 years she worked at the Danish Central Bank.

Louise Mogensen is Master of Science in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.

Margrethe Vestager

Margrethe Vestager is former two-term European Commissioner (2014-2019 and 2019-2024) and Executive Vice-President of the European Commission. She is a member of the Danish Social Liberal Party. 

Prior to joining the European Commission, Margrethe served in the Danish governments of Poul Nyrup Rasmussen as Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs from 1998 to 2000 and Minister of Education from 1998 to 2001. She was leader of the Social Liberal Party from 2007 to 2014, and served as Minister of Economic Affairs and the Interior under the government of Helle Thorning-Schmidt from 2011 to 2014
